BRENTWOOD, MO. (KTVI) – It`s one of the most amazing surveillance photos the Brentwood Police Chief has ever seen. What makes it even more incredible is that the camera was aimed to catch an animal, not a group of suspects with a gun breaking into a house.

“We had no intention of catching a crime or anything more than a varmint,” said Jacob Schuh, Brentwood resident. “It was just surprising to see people on there.”

Schuh was trying to help his neighbor, Ronald Nichols, track down the animal breaking into several trash cans on Parkside near McKnight and Litzinger. He set up a Primos Truth Cam overnight. The camera is motion activated.

Saturday night was the 1st night he used the camera. The suspects were caught on his camera early Sunday morning. Police say the photographs will help them with their case.

“They’re just unbelievable,” said Nichols. “You couldn`t have even staged them better than what they were.”

Police say the suspects met their victims at the Lumiere Casino on Saturday night and then followed them to their Brentwood home on Parkside knowing their targets won hundreds of dollars playing craps.

According to Brentwood Police Chief Steve Disbennett, one of the suspects was armed with a gun and the others went in and out of the house stealing $700, a cell phone and a laptop.

Chief Disbennett credits St. Louis radio show host McGraw Millhaven for calling 911 as soon as he noticed something suspicious. The host for 550 KTRS says he did what any citizen should.

Millhaven also called 911 Saturday morning because someone knocked on the door of the house where he was staying. The stranger asked to borrow money for gas.

‘Police came and arrested him because he had an outstanding warrant,’ Millahven said.

‘If you see something strange don`t hesitate to call the police,’ said Disbennett.

Three suspects are in custody for Sunday`s robbery and face multiple charges including burglary, robbery and armed criminal action. They are 23-year-old Justin James Rush, 21-year-old Trevon Devonte Adams and 21-year-old Ronald Ledell Forture.

Court documents show all 3 reside in St. Louis City. Adams and Forture are jailed on a $75,000 bond each. Rush is held on a $100,000 because police believe he was the one who was in possession of the gun used in the crime.
